Strasbourg, 27/11/14 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 26 November, the German government confirmed the introduction of a 30% quota of women on the board of directors in major companies in 2016. This decision is expected to change how things are stacked at the Council, in view of an agreement on a similar quota at a European level being obtained at the end of the year. Social Democrats at the European Parliament have been encouraged by this prospect.
