Brussels, 14/10/2014 (Agence Europe) - Spanish Fisheries Minister Isabel Garcia Tejerina called at the Council meeting in Luxembourg on Monday 13 October to seek an increase of 10,500 tonnes in its Bluefin tuna quota in the Atlantic and Mediterranean in 2016. Currently, the EU's TAC (total allowable catch) is 13,000 tonnes and Spain is hoping to have it raised to at least 23,500 tonnes, the minister said.
