Brussels, 07/05/2014 (Agence Europe) - Good news for the climate. In 2013, the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the combustion of fossil fuels is reported to have fallen by 2.5% in the EU compared to the previous year, according to the preliminary estimates published on Wednesday 7 May by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In 2012, there was a decline of 1.6%.
