Brussels, 09/04/2014 (Agence Europe) - Early this week, the EU sent experts to Algeria to prepare the country for its accession to the “European agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by road of the UNECE”, according to Algerian sources. The technical seminar was held in Algiers on Tuesday 8 April.
This joint procedure comes as part of the future project currently under discussion for “Euro-Med transport programme in the land transport sector” for road, rail and urban transport (Euro-Med RRU) and stems from the idea of establishing a “Trans-Mediterranean Transport Network to facilitate cross-border transport, improve transport security and promote urban transport effectively unsustainably”, according to experts quoted by the Algerian media.
