Brussels, 04/02/2014 (Agence Europe) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel's party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), has called in its electoral programme for the future European Commission to have fewer vice-president commissioners and for their portfolios to be wider, said German newspaper Handelsblatt. The Christian Social Union (CSU), the CDU's sister party from Bavaria, has called for a reduction in the current number of 28 commissioners. (SP/transl.fl)
