Brussels, 19/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - Mario Monti could become the chair of the high-level group on EU own resources. He is already the Council's choice. On 19 December, the president of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, praised the qualities of Monti (who is both a European and national figure) but pointed out that the choice of the EP would be rather Jean-Luc Dehaene (EPP, Belgium).
