02/12/2013 (Agence Europe) - EIB loan to Banco Sabadell in favour of SMEs and mid-caps. On 29 November, the European Investment Bank (EIB) granted a loan of €200 million to Banco Sabadell to fund investment projects of SMEs and mid-caps, principally in the services sector and industry. Banco Sabadell will make match this amount, meaning that a total of €400 million will be injected into companies. Projects eligible for funding will be located mainly in Spain and, to a lesser extent, the other countries of the EU. Around 30% of the total amount is earmarked for projects in the convergence regions. (OL/transl.fl)
