Growth gathers space in United Kingdom. In the third quarter of 2013, the British economy experienced its highest rate of growth for the past three years, with a 0.4% rise in GDP in the first quarter of the year and 0.8% in the third. Over the past nine months, GDP has grown more quickly than the Bank of England had forecast for the whole year.
