Brussels, 20/08/2013 (Agence Europe) - In mid-August, the European Commission authorised Lithuanian state aid of €231.4 million for the liquidation plan for Lithuanian bank Ukio Bankas.
Some of Ukio Bankas' assets were transferred to AB Siauliu Bankas, selected in a competitive process. The state aid bridged the gap between the value of the transferred assets and Ukio Bankas' liabilities.
