30/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - France scales back BSE monitoring mechanism. A decree made on 19 July this year by France raises compulsory bovine screening of animals over 24 months old to beasts over 48 months. This decree amends that of 17 March 1992 on conditions to be met by slaughterhouses in the production and marketing of fresh meat.
