Paris and Berlin want tougher line on dirty money

Brussels, 25/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - France and Germany have a joint letter to the European Commission asking it to clamp down on money-laundering around the world.

In their letter, sent on 24 April, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble and French Finance Minister Pierre Moscovici stress the importance of protecting the integrity of the common market against illegal money and non-cooperative jurisdictions that deprive the public purse of crucial tax income.
