Brussels, 23/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed a €400 million loan agreement with Banco Santander to finance investment projects by small businesses and midcap companies (of up to 3,000 employees), doubling the €400 million granted by the EIB in September 2012 to €800 million. Banco Santander will match this EIB funding with the same amount, meaning that a total of €1.6 billion will be pumped into financing small businesses.
