On Friday 5 April, the European Commission authorised the acquisition of Dutch diesel engine and components manufacturer Ispol Holding BV by the Spanish subsidiary of US car company General Motors, General Motors Europe Holdings SL, which manufactures and sells cars and car components. Ispol was previously owned by General Motors and Japanese car company Isuzu Motors Ltd. (FG/transl.fl)
