05/04/2013 (Agence Europe) - Füle in Skopje on Tuesday 9 April. Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Stefan Füle will visit Skopje, the capital of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), on Tuesday 9 April, to participate in a session of the High Level Dialogue on accession to the EU. Initially planned for mid-February, the meeting was postponed due to internal political conflict (see EUROPE 10758). The meeting forms part of the preparation of the progress report on FYROM, ahead of the possible opening of negotiations - a report which will be presented on 16 April. In Skopje, Füle will meet President Gjorge Ivanov, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, the head of the opposition party - the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia - Branko Crvenkovski, and Minister of European Affairs Fatmir Besimi. The Greek and Macedonian negotiatiors will discuss the issue of the name of the country at the United Nations on 8-9 April. (CG/transl.fl)
