Brussels, 04/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - The operations centre of ENISA, the European Network and Information Security Agency, opened its doors in Athens on 1 March. ENISA's administrative seat remains in Heraklion. The agreement negotiated between the European Parliament and the European Council regarding ENISA's new mandate provided for the opening of a branch office in Athens so as to strengthen the efficiency of the Agency's activities. “I am confident that the opening of ENISA's office in Athens secures ENISA in Greece”, said Nikos Mourkogiannis, a management board member.
