Growth stabilises in China. - The most recent statistics provided by the National Bureau of Statistics of China illustrate that the Chinese economy experienced a significant upturn in the fourth quarter of 2012 (+7.9%), following seven consecutive quarters where the economy slowed down. For 2012 overall, Chinese GDP grew by 7.8%. Nonetheless, this is still China's worst performance since 1999. In 2011, GDP grew by 9.3% and by 10.4% in 2012. (IL/transl.fl)
