EU Court rejects action initiated by Bruno Gollnisch

Brussels, 17/01/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 17 January, the EU General Court (TEU) rejected both actions brought by the French MEP, Bruno Gollnisch, deeming that the decisions to waive and not to defend his immunity are valid.

In May 2011, the European Parliament decided to waive the immunity of the National Front (NF) member, so that a complaint filed by the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (LICRA) alleging incitement to racial hatred might be examined. MEPs...
