Last week, the European Investment Bank (EIB) granted a €200 million loan to Unicaja Banco to finance projects and meet capital needs for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs and midcaps) with workforces of fewer than 3,000 Unicaja Banco will itself supply a similar amount, making a a total of €400 million for Spanish small business and mid-caps.
