Brussels, 10/01/2013 (Agence Europe) - In February or March 2013, EU Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier will unveil draft legislation to give retail bank clients greater protection (see EUROPE 10578). Three separate items of legislation will aim to improve access to basic banking services, make it easier for people to change banks and encourage transparent bank charges because non-legislative measures have failed to bear fruit.
