18/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - EIB loans to SMEs and other projects. On 10 October in Podgorica, the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed four contracts in favour of the local economy in Montenegro, in order to support the country in its path towards the European Union: - a €25 million loan for SMEs (the first tranche of a total €50 million loan); - €20 million that contributes to repairing and reconstructing the major damage to the public infrastructure caused by the exceptional rainfall and flooding of November and December 2010; - a €0.6 million grant under the Western Balkans investment Framework for reconstruction of water supply system in Cetinje; - a €3.5 million grant agreement covered by the Pre-accession Instrument for the realization of a wastewater treatment in Pljevlja.
