The spokesperson was answering questions from the press over the impartiality of the preliminary opinion, in view of the fact that Andrew Chesson, the chair of the panel which has taken position, is one of the scientists who, in 2003, prepared a draft opinion in favour of the authorisation of this genetically modified maize for the EFSA.
