Brussels, 29/08/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 28 August the European Commission adopted its annual action programme 2012 for Armenia. This support, of €60 million, will be used for the acceleration of justice reform. The funds will enable schools for lawyers, judges and prosecutors to be set up, as well as new training opportunities for key national institutions, with expert advice and best practice.
The European aid will also contribute to strengthening bilateral EU-Armenia relations, to political association and economic integration, by supporting the institutions involved in the preparation and future implementation of agreements currently being negotiated - particularly the association agreement including a deep and comprehensive free trade area, and the agreement to facilitate the issuing of visas and readmission.
