Brussels, 05/07/2012 (Agence Europe) - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton will travel to China where she will take part, on 8-1 July, in the 3rd round of the high-level strategic dialogue between the EU and China, according to sources cited on Thursday 5 July.
Ashton is travelling at the invitation of Chinese State Councillor Dai Binggua, who will also take part in the high-level discussions, announced the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Liu Weimin. The two sides will share their viewpoints on the situation in the world today, EU-China relations and regional issues of shared interest, Liu said in a regular press conference. He expressed confidence that the talks would help improve mutual understanding and confidence between China and the EU. (LC/transl.rt)
