Merkel may suggest Schäuble to head Eurogroup

Brussels, 16/03/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, Financial Times Deutschland reported that the German chancellor, Angela Merkel, has suggested that Germany's current finance minister, Wolfgang Schäuble, should replace Jean-Claude Juncker at the helm of Eurogroup. Quoting anonymous sources, the FT listed his strong points - experience and Germany's debt crisis management role (retaining it triple A status).
