Crohn's disease, increasing access to care

Brussels, 16/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - On 15 February, the European Federation of Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis Associations (EFCCA) presented the results of a pan-European study to shed light on the consequences of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) on the day-to-day lives of sufferers. The conclusions show that although care is generally adequate and diagnosis accurate, 18% of patients have to wait for several years for an accurate diagnosis.
