02/02/2012 (Agence Europe) - IMO draws lessons from Costa Concordia. On 30 January, the secretary general of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Koji Sekimizu, stated that his organisation was the appropriate international body for supervising passenger ship safety, particularly the review of legislation on this following the Costa Concordia accident. The subject is on the agenda of the IMO meeting at the end of May. (MD/transl.fl)
