Brussels, 06/01/2012 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 6 January, France said that it wants a decision to be taken by the end of January (if necessary, by France alone) on the plan for a European financial transaction tax (FTT), but Germany has made it clear that it wants an EU-solution, and is echoed by the European Commission, which calls for a coherent approach among the member states and is hoping for good progress to be made in the first half of the year.
