€7 billion proposed to complete Galileo and EGNOS

Brussels, 30/11/2011 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission feels that €7 billion should cover the costs for completing the satellite radionavigation projects, Galileo and EGNOS (correcting GPS signals), for the period 2014-2020.

On Wednesday 30 November, the institution proposed a new framework to fund these two European programmes. The €7bn will help to ensure continuity in the setting in place of the infrastructure needed for these projects and their operation. This ranges from...
