13/10/2011 (Agence Europe) - EU/Israel agreement on acceptance of industrial goods - Parliament wants discussion between Ashton and De Gucht. Having already waited since last year for a first reading, the EU-Israel agreement on assessing conformity and acceptance of industrial goods must wait a little longer. At the initiative of Kader Arif (S&D, France), the international trade committee of the European Parliament stated, on Tuesday 11 October, that further discussion should be held between EU High Representative Catherine Ashton and Commissioner Karel De Gucht (trade) and Stefan Füle (neighbourhood policy) on the coherence of the EU's external policy in the Middle East.
