Brussels, 30/09/2011 (Agence Europe) - According to a flash estimate published on Friday by Eurostat, the EU's statistical office, annual inflation in the eurozone hit 3.0% in September 2011, compared with 2.5% in August. Some say the rise is due to the hike in fuel and clothing prices. The increase in inflation seems to fit because inflation in Germany surged to 2.6% in September, and prices in Spain rose by 3% in September and 2.7% in August. (LC/transl.fl)
