Brussels, 16/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - According to figures published by Eurostat on Wednesday 16 March, the annual inflation rate of the eurozone stood at 2.4% in February 2011, compared with 2.3% in January. One year earlier, the rate was 0.8%. The monthly inflation rate was 0.4% in February 2011. As for the annual inflation rate of the EU, it was 2.8% in February 2011, unchanged from January. This figure was 1.5% one year earlier. The monthly inflation rate was 0.4% in February 2011. In that same month, the lowest annual rates were to be seen in Ireland (0.9%), Sweden (1.2%) and in France (1.8%), and the highest in Romania (7.6%), Estonia (5.5%) and Bulgaria (4.6%).
