Brussels, 11/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 10 March, the European Parliament strongly criticised the serious violations of human rights in Belarus, condemning the use of torture and warning that unless the Belarus government takes immediate steps towards democratisation and upholding human rights, “the process of engagement between the European Union and Belarus will be put on hold”.
