Brussels, 21/12/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has recently paved the way for strengthening Parliamentary scrutiny of Europol, the European police co-operation agency. The Commission adopted a communication on 17 December for setting up a joint body to enable the European Parliament and national parliaments to exercise control over the activities of the agency.
