A week ahead of voting on the introduction of such a highly controversial permit, MEPs in the S&D group have tabled some key amendments to the Commission's proposal (a proposal backed by most of the European rightwing). The permit might set up a two-speed labour market in Europe, with low pay for non-EU immigrants and higher pay for Europeans....
