Brussels, 29/11/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 18 November 2010, the representatives of the Governments of the member states appointed Mr Andrei Popescu as Judge at the General Court of the European Union. He will replace Mr Valeriu M. Ciucã for the period from 26 November 2010 to 31 August 2016. A formal sitting of the Court of Justice took place on 26 November for the departure from office of Mr Ciucã and Mr Popescu's swearing of the oath and taking up of his post. (F.G./transl.rt)
