Commission adjusts fines on prestressing steel cartel companies

Brussels, 07/10/2010 (Agence Europe) - On 6 October, due to certain calculation errors, the European Commission decided to adjust some of the fines imposed last July on the cartel of 17 prestressing steel producers (EUROPE 10171). The adjustments will affect the multinational ArcelorMittal group, whose fine has been reduced from €276 million to €230 million, Emesa/Galycas/ArcelorMittal (Spain), from €40 million to €36.72 million, WDI/Pampus (Germany), from €56 million to €46.55...
