05/10/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 4 October, the Greek government announced when it unveiled its initial budget plans for next year that the Greek public deficit would be 7.8% of GDP this year rather than 8.1% as initially forecast. State borrowing requirements have fallen back this year and will continue to fall in 2011.
