Brussels, 07/07/2010 (Agence Europe) - In his presentation to the press on Wednesday 7 July of the Commission Green Paper, “towards adequate, sustainable and safe European pension systems” (see EUROPE 10174), Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion Commissioner László Andor called for adaptation to an ageing population and for long-term adjustment plans to be put in place as quickly as possible to adjust retirement practices and the way people build up entitlements to pensions.
