Mercedes Bresso re-elected President

Brussels, 09/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on Wednesday 9 June, the Committee of the Regions (CoR) re-elected Mercedes Bresso (PES, Italy) by acclamation as its president. Bresso was re-elected to this post by general consent. Her term of office was cut short, however, following elections in Italy when the Socialists were voted out of office (see EUROPE 10075 and 10117).
