Turkey-Azerbaijan deal on transit of gas for European market

Brussels, 28/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 27 April 2010, EU Energy Commissioner Günter Oettinger welcomed the agreement in principle that same day by Turkish energy company Botas and Azerbaijan energy company Socar on the transport of gas from Azerbaijan to the EU via Turkey. Turkish energy minister Taner Yildiz said the deal covered all supply issues for Azerbaijan gas, including its cost.
