Brussels, 08/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on Thursday 8 April, MEPs and representatives of producers' organisations discussed the commercial and market organisation aspects of the reform of the common fisheries policy (CFP). Speakers accepted the need for imports, since Community production cannot satisfy demand (currently it can only meet 40% of demand), but they felt that the sometimes unfair competition the industry faced had the effect of lowering first marketing prices.
