Brussels, 15/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - With the EU having failed to achieve the target it set itself of halting biodiversity loss by 2010, EU environment ministers have called for a long-term vision to be defined by the end of the year so that, by 2050, biodiversity in the EU and the ecosystem services it provides - its natural capital - are protected, assessed and appropriately restored.
