Brussels, 10/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 9 March, the European Commission granted Germany additional time to comply with EU legislation on air quality (directive 2008/50/EC).
This relates to a request for temporary exemptions in five additional zones or agglomerations in the Länder of North-Rhine Westphalia and Saxony which will not be able to meet the limit values for PM 10, the finest particles, and those most dangerous for human health, within the time set by the directive....
