02/03/2010 (Agence Europe) - Catherine Ashton has issued a press release in which she speaks out against the continued detention of the Burmese opposition leader, Aung San Suu Kyi. Last Friday, the Supreme Court of Burma decided to reject her appeal. The high representative of the EU protested against the "unjust sentence" meted out and urged the Burmese authorities to "change course". (H.B./transl.fl)
