Parliament hopes to conclude negotiations with Croatia in 2010 and to see green light from March European Council on opening talks with FYROM - Controversial debate and mixed report on Turkey

Brussels, 10/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 10 February, the European Parliament approved the reports on the three candidate countries: Croatia (report by Hannes Swoboda, S&D), Turkey (Ria Oomen-Ruijten, EPP) and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, FYROM (Zoran Thaler, EPP). The content of the reports remained virtually unchanged from the texts voted on by the committee on foreign affairs on 27 January (EUROPE 10065).
