19/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission recently launched a poster competition for young graphic artists for a poster to be used during Europe Day on 9 May 2010. It has received 1,700 entries. From these, 10 finalists have been selected by a panel composed of European design and communication experts. The projects by these ten finalists will now be put to public vote on the competition website. The theme chosen for these entries is “I love Europe”. The vice-president of the European Commission for communication, Margot Wallström, said: “The competition gives the Commission an excellent opportunity to place Europe in the limelight and to show how the young perceive Europe”.
