06/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 4 November, European Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Commissioner Joe Borg was given the Kungsfenan Swedish Seafood Award. This prize is awarded every year in recognition of important achievements in sustainable fisheries and gastronomy. Borg received the prize for his important work, over the past five years, to put EU fisheries on a sustainable footing. The award ceremony will take place at the Gothenburg Opera on 11 February 2010.
