European Union Agency for Asylum doubles its presence in Lampedusa

05/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) announced in a press release on 5 October that it has begun the process of doubling the number of resources in Lampedusa as part of its redeployment of 50 people to southern Italy. “Depending on needs, the Agency is prepared to further increase deployments in the region with additional personnel”, the EUAA stated.
