Average temperatures in 2023 close to limit set by Paris Agreement, according to Copernicus

05/10/2023 (Agence Europe) – Last month was the warmest ever recorded for a month of September, “extraordinarily” exceeding previous records, announced the European Copernicus observatory on Thursday 5 October. According to the C3S climate change service, the average surface air temperature in September was 16.38°C, 0.93°C above the 1991-2020 average for the month and 0.5°C above the previous record for 2020.
