Spain’s Council of Ministers gives go-ahead for creation of EU’s first artificial intelligence supervisory agency

25/08/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Spanish Council of Ministers approved, on Tuesday 22 August, a Royal Decree validating the status of the Spanish Agency for the Supervision of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The country becomes the first Member State to set up such a structure. It will be attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
